CFMOTO launches the new 700CL-X model family, with an all-new frame, all-new engine and the latest technology. The Heritage is built for 80% Road and 20% off-road use.

Eye-catching angles and flowing lines combine harmoniously to create a unique personality with a modern yet classic style. The appearance of the 700CL-X is accentuated by particularly premium elements such as the neo-retro front round headlight, aluminum side panels, leather saddle, multi-spoke aluminum wheels and Pirelli tires. The ultra-modern elements of the 700CL-X break the establishment with their design that follows the aesthetics of classic motorcycles and guarantees the timeless durability of its beauty.

The engine powering the 700CL-X is an all-new liquid-cooled 693cc in-line twin that produces 55kW (74hp) and 68Nm of torque. It is equipped with forged pistons for lower weight and less inertia, which ensures smaller distortions, less vibration and higher engine rotation speeds. The intake system is designed to ensure optimal air flow at high operating speeds and the immediate response to opening the throttle, giving fast accelerations and instant overtaking. Fuel injection and throttle control are electronically controlled by the BOSCH unit, with high-precision sensors that ensure clean efficient combustion, thus fuel economy and minimized emissions. The frame of the 700CL-X is brand new, split, made of high-strength chromium-molybdenum alloy and extremely light weighing only 16.5 kg.

It is combined with a cast, hollow aluminum scissor weighing only 6.7 kg, keeping the total weight of the machine at 196 kg. Its dimensions are 2100 × 860 × 1150 mm, with a wheelbase of 1435 mm.

CFMOTO has developed the 700CL-X Heritage to meet every daily riding need, but also have some off-road capability. The frame has been developed with the aim of the best combination of road behavior with maximum comfort and ergonomics, having a saddle height of 800 mm and a high handlebar position

The 700CL-X wears KYB 41mm inverted forks up front and a KYB monoshock eccentrically mounted multi-link rear suspension. The suspensions are fully adjustable in 20 steps, so the driver can choose exactly the settings they want. The front suspension is adjustable in preload, compression and rebound, and the rear in preload and rebound. The selection of the top suspensions of KYB, in addition to an impressive appearance, also provides long travel of 150 mm both front and rear. This enhances the off-road capabilities, but also the comfort of driving on bad roads with irregularities and potholes, without the risk of “bumping” or ending the suspension. The wheels are Aluminum, 110/80 R18 front and 180/55-R17 rear, with Pirelli MT60RS dual purpose tires that ensure excellent grip on the road and basic off-road use.

The LED headlights of the 700CL-X Heritage are equipped with a self-adjusting system that automatically turns the lights on and off depending on road conditions, ensuring clear and wide vision in all conditions,

even in tunnels with intense brightness changes. The indicators are also LED, which automatically turn off after cornering, allowing the driver to remain focused on the road. The retro-modern round front light and frame-integrated rear light contribute to the differentiation and distinctive, instantly recognizable style of the 700CL-X.

The 75mm round instrument with a retro look houses an LCD screen with all the information the rider needs: Speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, total & partial odometer, but also the indications of the engine operating programs.

The two programs (Economic & Sport) use the electronically controlled throttle differently, resulting in a different way of delivering power and differentiating the behavior of the motorcycle, with the simple push of a button, even in motion. In addition, the 700CL-X Heritage is equipped with cruise control that keeps the speed of the motorcycle constant whenever the driver chooses it.

The 700CL-X Heritage uses a brake system by J.JUAN, a subsidiary of Brembo. There is a 320mm disc with a radially mounted 4-piston caliper at the front, and a 260mm disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear. It is worth mentioning that the use of one front disc instead of two is a conscious choice after extensive testing, which ensures better handling and agility. Combined with the low center of gravity and KYB suspension, the CL-X brakes very hard, the smoothly and with absolute control from the driver. The standard equipment of the 700CL-X includes several protection systems, such as Continental ABS.
